Woman killed in Bayonne fire ID’d

BAYONNE -

The woman killed in Wednesday’s fire in Bayonne has been identified.

Investigators have identified the victim as Ruvee Yao, 42.

The fire began just after 1:30 a.m. near 36th Street on Broadway Avenue.

The fast-moving fire spread to three other buildings before it was contained.

Three Bayonne firefighters went to the hospital to receive treatment for smoke inhalation and other injuries.

Fifteen people are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

Investigators are still unsure what caused the fire.
