Manville man arrested after allegedly using sword in parking dispute

A Manville man is facing charges after he allegedly attacked a man using a sword in a dispute over a parking space.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office says that 36-year-old Jared Razzano and the 40-year-old victim got into an argument in the area of Knopf Street and North Ninth Avenue in Manville on June 13.
Police say that during a verbal altercation, the unidentified victim attacked Razzano with a 4-foot-long aluminum contractor’s level. Razzano then allegedly went to his vehicle, retrieved a sword and slashed the victim several times, nearly severing one of his fingers.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Razzano was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
