Search is on for missing portraits of Hawthorne mayors

Officials in Hawthorne are on the search for the missing portraits of three mayors from the 1900s.
Hawthorne historians and librarians started looking for pictures of the town’s 17 mayors four years ago. They found portraits for everyone but three mayors.
Municipal clerk Lori DiBella started the project and says that she wants help finding the last portraits.
"I think it would be amazing to have all of them on the wall and I would hope that if anybody can help us out, they would help us out,” she says. “I'm hopeful and we'll keep looking until we have a better idea or avenue to find it. But we understand if we can't find them."
The 14 portraits are currently hanging up in Hawthorne Borough Hall.
Anyone who may have information about where the remaining portraits are should contact the borough.
