WEST MILFORD -

A bear broke into a West Milford woman’s home.

The 19-year-old woman told News 12 New Jersey that the bear broke through her screen door in her home on Eatontown Road Friday morning.

She says that she was able to get the bear to leave by shouting at it. But she says that the bear tried to get  back in and growled at her while she was closing the main door.

West Milford police and New Jersey wildlife officials are trying to capture and tag the bear.
