Business Briefs: Comcast, WeWork, SUV safety rating

The bidding battle is on. Comcast has officially offered 21st Century Fox $65 billion for assets Disney had agreed to acquire. Comcast's offer is 19 percent higher than Disney's. The move comes one day after a federal judge approved AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner, Cheddar says.

WeWork wants double the money. The office-sharing company is in talks with Softbank for another round of funding that would raise the valuation to up to $40 billion. That's two times its current worth and would make WeWork the second most valuable startup in the U.S., behind Uber.

Two of the most popular SUVs in the country just got a very bad safety grade. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently gave the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Explorer models the worst safety rating possible on a recent crash test. They were being reviewed to see how they perform in a dangerous collision with the front passenger side of the car.
