Monmouth County officials are investigating the deaths of two people found inside a home after responding to a welfare check.

Few details about the deaths have been provided, but Long Branch police say that officers were called to a home on the 300 block of Ocean Boulevard Tuesday evening after receiving a request for a welfare check on the residents. Officials say that the officers found two people dead inside the home.

Long Branch police say that the two people knew each other. They say that the deaths appear to be an isolated incident and say that there is no danger to the community.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating.
