1 of 2 NJ Turnpike crash victims identified

NEWARK -

Officials released new information about a deadly crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Police say it happened when a box truck crossed traffic, hit the guard rail and overturned Friday in Newark.

Authorities have identified one of the two victims.

They say that 43-year-old Kakha Komckhidze, of Brooklyn, was among those killed.

Police say that one person was able to climb out of the overturned truck and survived.

The second victim was from the country of Georgia. That person's name has not yet been released because family has not been notified.
