The owner of an Outback Steakhouse in Bergen County surprised a young girl whose bicycle was stolen outside the restaurant.
The girl’s mother posted on an Edgewater Facebook group stating that someone took her daughter’s bike earlier this week.
The owner, Jeffrey Abbate, reached out to the mother and said that he would check the restaurant’s surveillance cameras. Unfortunately the cameras did not see what happened.
But Abbate secured a new bike for the little girl on behalf of himself, Outback Steakhouse and Strictly Bicycles in Fort Lee.
The mother says that her 7-year-old could not believe it. She was apparently so excited that she slept with the bike next to her bed that night.
