NJ Transit service changes in effect Monday for PTC work

New Jersey Transit commuters will begin to see schedule changes and delays starting Monday.
The agency is installing Positive Train Control, the automatic speed-control system that’s designed to prevent crashes.
It must be installed systemwide by the end of 2019.
The agency says these upgrades could bring delays to commuters along the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, Morris and Essex Lines and Pascack Valley Line.
Other trains throughout the system will also see some temporary schedule changes.
