East Orange mayor honors girl who saved friend from choking

The mayor of East Orange honored a city student who saved her friend from choking.

Mayor Ted Green also named 9-year-old Kori Scott acting mayor for the day as part of the celebration.

Kori performed the Heimlich maneuver on her best friend at Bowser Elementary School one day when the friend began choking on a burrito at lunch.

Kori says that she learned the maneuver from her father, who had to perform it on her once.
