The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirms that there is an active death investigation underway on Brighton Avenue in Wall Township.
News 12 New Jersey is told a body was found just off Brighton Avenue. News 12 is also told that the body was wrapped in what appeared to be a tarp when initially spotted, but that information has not been confirmed.
There is no word on the victim’s identity.
Brighton Avenue remains was closed between Route 18 and Roman Boulevard as a result of the investigation.
