Anyone looking to adopt a new furry friend should head down to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach this Saturday for the All Paws on Board event.
A host of local animal rescue organizations will be on hand with dogs of various breeds up for adoption.
“We rescue dogs from New Jersey, sometimes down South. Local shelters. All breeds, all sizes, shapes, ages,” says Tammy Borland with Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue.
Future pet owners can fill out the paperwork and claim their new pet on the spot.
Dog lovers will also be able to meet Maple, Ivy and Holly, pit bull-mix puppies that were found abandoned in a Trenton alley earlier this year.
The “no dogs on the boardwalk” rule will also be suspended for the day, so that the dogs can get to know their potential new owners.
News 12 New Jersey is a partner for the event. Several News 12 personalities will be in attendance. All Paws on Board runs from 12-4 p.m.
