An incredible time-lapse video has been released of lava creeping across the street following the Kilauea Volcano eruption in Hawaii.

The video shows a pile of lava inching toward a car parked on the side of the road.

The lava is seen literally swallowing the car.

Almost three dozen structures have been destroyed, and there are currently concerns about hazardous fumes.

The lava is so hot that it's causing highways to crack, sealing off some neighborhoods and causing residents and first responders to find other ways to get to where they need to.
