At one point the man allegedly became aggressive with the officers and tried to fight them off as he was taken into custody.

The chief says the suspect has been arrested multiple times for burglary this year.

In a tweet, Ferrante warned city residents to protect their property. "These opportunists are wandering the streets at all times, every day," he wrote. "Please keep all doors locked, retrieve or have someone retrieve your delivered packages ASAP, secure your bikes with the best locks even inside garages."
