Authorities in Paterson say a carjacker grabbed and dragged a pregnant woman out of a car in a late night attack.

The attack happened Sunday around 1 a.m. in the area of 12th Avenue and East 18th Street.

The pregnant woman was a passenger in the car driven by another woman.

According to police, two suspects in an SUV pulled up to the women, one appearing to have a handgun.

Police say the suspects ordered the woman out of the car and took her purse before driving away with the car.
