JERSEY SHORE -

Thousands flocked to the Shore Sunday to participate in the New Jersey Marathon.

The event marked the 22nd annual run down the boardwalk. The marathon started at Monmouth Park and concluded in Long Branch.

Runners who were unable to complete the full 26.2 miles were able to take part in a half-marathon or 5K.

The New Jersey Marathon is a qualifying event for those who want to run in the Boston Marathon in April 2019.
