NJ sites accept drugs for National Prescription Take Back Day

Saturday marks National Prescription Take Back Day and more than 5,000 sites across the country were accepting old and unwanted medications.

Anyone with old, unwanted or expired prescriptions was urged to drop them off at one several locations across New Jersey.

Officials say the day is aimed toward aiding in the fight against the heroin and opioid epidemic across the nation.

They say for many, the source of addiction is prescription pills inside the home.
