It's the end of an era for a popular Perth Amboy dive bar that's been serving loyal customers for over 40 years.
Al Cibelli's Restaurant and Nite Club will be closing its doors and tab for good next month.
After several medical issues and concerns about not spending enough quality time with family, owner Al Cibelli says it's time for last call.
"We've had an overwhelming response of ‘thanks for the memories,’ ‘we grew up in there,’ ‘we met there,’ ‘I met my husband in there.’ There's been so many scenarios, but it's been nice," says owner Al Cibelli.
Cibelli says if he doesn't like retirement, he'll leave the door open to operating a cafe in the near future.
