A large fire ripped through several homes in Jersey City early this morning.
News 12 is being told that the Red Cross is helping 42 people from 11 different families who were affected by the blaze.
Officials say the fire started just before 4 a.m. on Bergen Avenue.
Two firefighters were slightly hurt. They have been treated and released from the hospital
It is still unclear how the fire started.
