Utility crews responded to a downed utility pole in Middlesex County this morning.
JCP&L crews were on Grove Avenue in Metuchen repairing the utility pole after power lines came down on the train tracks.
It’s not clear what took down the pole, but the downed lines affected four train tracks used by New Jersey Transit and owned by Amtrak. The tracks were briefly impassable around 3 a.m.
NJ Transit says there is no interruption of service.
Some power outages have been reported, but officials say crews were working to make repairs.
Dellwood Road and Oakland Avenue were closed as crews worked on the issue.
