Officials say they’ve identified the likely source of the E. coli outbreak that has sickened at least 35 people nationwide, including seven in New Jersey.
CDC officials say that chopped romaine lettuce is likely the source.
No specific grower or brand has yet been identified.
Experts are urging consumers to throw out any romaine lettuce that they have even if no one has gotten sick.
Ten other states have also been affected.
