Costco is making plans to come to Bayonne, building a store at an old military ocean terminal site.

The new store will be located on Chosen Few Way.

A groundbreaking was held Wednesday where the Costco store and gas station will be built.

The store will be the first major commercial development on the site, which was taken over the by the city nearly two decades ago.

"This is a really big deal," says Mayor James Davis. "This is something that shows for the first time in 18 years that we're actually developing the base."

The store is expected to be completed in about five months.
