A recent study shows what state you live in can have a significant impact on how long you have to live.
The study conducted by the U.S. Burden of Disease Collaborators highlights life expectancy estimates from 1990 and 2016.
According to the study, New Jersey was tied seventh most highest with Colorado and Washington at 80.2 years.
Hawaii had the longest life expectancy at birth, at 81.3 years, followed by California at 80.9 years and Connecticut at 80.8 years.
Mississippi ranked last at 74.7 years, followed by West Virginia at 75.3 years and Alabama at 75.4 years.
A variety of factors were used in the study to measure in each state, including diet, obesity, elevated blood pressure, tobacco, and physical inactivity.
