Students and teachers have returned to Indiana Avenue School Number 18 in Iselin after asbestos and mold concerns moved them from the school twice.
There is a total of about 600 students and teachers at Woodbridge's largest elementary school.
The school was closed twice in the past two months, including a three-week period when tests found mold and asbestos.
The situation was mess of health concerns and logistical headaches.
Students had to split shifts at the local middle school, disrupting the schedule for that school as well.
The students also missed their spring break.
The district is planning more work this summer to permanently fix problems, such as the roof leak that may have contributed to the mold problem.
