New Jersey Rep. Frank Pallone says that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will testify before Congress.

Pallone announced on Twitter that Zuckerberg will appear before the House Energy and Commerce Committee next Wednesday.

The Facebook founder will be testifying regarding a situation where user information was improperly obtained by the company Cambridge Analytica. Over 87 million Facebook users may have had their personal information compromised.

Pallone tweeted, “I’m deeply concerned that Facebook only addresses concerns on its platform when it becomes a public crisis, and that is simply not the way you run a company that is used by over 2 billion people. We need to know how they are going to fix this problem next week at our hearing.”

Cambridge Analytica apparently used the information to build "psychographic" profiles that would help shape targeted messages to U.S. voters.
