A 26-year-old Union City man is accused of stabbing a 20-year-old Queens woman to death early Monday morning.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office says that Kevin Cortes killed Giselle Bravo inside an apartment building located at 3612 New York Ave.

Officials say that Union City police were called to the building for reports of a person stabbed. When officers arrived, they found Cortes inside the building holding a knife, according to authorities.

Bravo was found on the third floor of the building suffering from multiple stab wounds to her torso. He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center but was pronounced dead just after 6:30 a.m.

Cortes faces several charges, including murder.
