An orthodox synagogue was vandalized in Lakewood for the second time in less than a year.
It comes days before one of the most important dates on the Jewish calendar.
Graffiti was sprayed over the weekend on a Holocaust memorial. The numbers 666, what the bible refers to as "the number of the beast," were found over the weekend.
A backward swastika was also sprayed on a vehicle on the property.
It’s the second time Congregation Sons of Israel has been targeted.
Vandals struck the temple last July with anti-Semitic banners draped over the congregation's Holocaust memorial.
"Wow. You gotta have one sick mind over here,” says congregation member Joseph Bloch. “Guy comes, you know. Nothing better to do with his life than just vandalize. It's a little sad. You'd think in America, freedom of religion they wouldn't do these things."
The rabbi tells News 12 he doesn't know why they were targeted.
Passover begins this Friday.
