A synagogue was vandalized in Ocean County on Saturday.
Hateful words and images, including swastikas spray painted backwards, were put on the walls of Congregation Sons of Israel in Lakewood.
The vandals also spray painted 666, what the bible refers to as “the number of the beast” on a Holocaust memorial.
This is the second time Congregation Sons of Israel has been targeted. Last July, vandals struck the temple with anti-Semitic banners draped over the congregation’s Holocaust memorial.
The rabbi of the synagogue tells News 12 New Jersey the motive for the vandalism is unclear.
