Suffolk continues training for active shooter situations

With the recent mass shootings across America, police on Long Island remain prepared.
Officials in Suffolk say they continue to train officers on how to respond to an active shooter situation.
Acting Suffolk Police Commissioner Stuart Cameron tells News 12 Long Island that Emergency Services Section officers are well prepared with tactical vests, ballistic helmets, and shields in case there is a situation.
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone met this morning with all Suffolk school superintendents to ask for agreements from each district about a new initiative that would allow police to see what's happening inside a school using existing camera systems.
