PLAINFIELD -

An administrator of a Plainfield preschool was accused of disciplining two children by brandishing a knife at them.

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office says that 64-year-old Adetokunbo Akinnaso faces two charges of cruelty or neglect of children.

The incident allegedly happened at the Dawn to Dusk preschool. Officials say that two 4-year-olds were taken to Akinnaso’s office for misbehaving earlier in the year and she allegedly threatened to harm them with the knife if they continued misbehaving.

Neither child was hurt.

Akinnaso surrendered to authorities and was released on a summons pending a court date.
