A truck is likely to blame for pulling down a set of electrical wires and utility poles in Nutley, according to police.
The incident happened Monday on Park Avenue near Eastwick College. Witnesses tell News 12 New Jersey that they had never seen anything like this happen before.
“I was outside in the front and all of a sudden, straight down, one by one the tops of the poles were cracking. There’s transformers on the ground, live wires all over the place,” says witness Mark Gracia.
PSEG crews were on scene working on repairs.
Nutley police say that they are still looking for the driver of the truck.
