The White House announced earlier this year that nearly all U.S. coastal waters would be open to oil and gas drilling. News broke this week that drilling might not happen off the Jersey Shore after all. Rep. Leonard Lance will talk about his efforts to stop it from happening, as well as the national push for new gun control laws.
The New Jersey state Assembly passed a five-bill gun package this week. Democratic Assemblyman John McKeon will talk to host Eric Landskroner about the bill he sponsored as well as the others he is hoping will become law.
At the annual NJ Chamber of Commerce Walk to Washington this week, Gov. Murphy again talked about moving forward on the millionaire's tax, although others in his party, namely Senate President Steve Sweeney, have said -- now is not the time. Matt Hale, Political Science Professor from Seton Hall University, talks about the issue how it illustrates the tension between the governor and the Senate president.
