Bicyclist struck, injured by vehicle in Union City

A man was injured Thursday after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Union City.
Authorities say that the crash happened near Eighth and West streets around 6:30 p.m. The bicyclist is said to have crashed into the vehicle’s windshield.
Witnesses tell News 12 New Jersey that the man was conscious when emergency services arrived. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
Both the driver and the bicyclist had a stop sign. Police say that they are trying to determine if either of them failed to stop.
