West Caldwell school goes on lockdown after social media threat

WEST CALDWELL -

A West Caldwell school went on lockdown after a reported social media threat.

It happened during a student "Music Marathon" at James Caldwell High School Saturday.

The council president confirmed to News 12 that a social media threat was reported to police and that prompted immediate action with students hiding throughout the school.

The threats proved false and police are now investigating.
