Officials say the student responsible for a scare at Nutley High School is now banned from the facility.
Joseph Rafanello, 18, was charged with
creating a false public alarm
after posting a video to Instagram depicting gun violence.
The Nutley Public School District
canceled classes and all after-school activities
.
The school will reopen on Monday after the weeklong winter break.
Administrators say they plan to implement new procedures to ensure safety.
