Classes will be held Friday in the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District after a threat was found to be not credible, school officials said.
Aberdeen Township police posted on Facebook late Thursday night that they were made aware of the threat made on social media against the district’s schools, but ultimately found it to be not credible.
“Please be advised that we have located the source of the threat. At this time, we do not find it to be credible; however, the investigation will continue,” the post read, in part.
No specific details about the threat were released.
The department said that all security measures in place to safeguard students and staff would continue.
