Police respond to crashes in Westport, Monroe

Saturday night's snow led to some car accidents overnight in western Connecticut.
Police responded to a two-car crash on I-95 early Sunday morning.
It happened between exits 16 and 17, near the Norwalk-Westport border. Police were at the scene around 2:45 a.m.
Drivers at the scene were evaluated, and their injuries appeared to be minor.
The road has since been cleared.
A firefighter in Monroe also had to pull a car out of a ditch after it slid off a snowy road.
It happened on Hammertown Road.
When police and EMS arrived, the passengers had already removed themselves from the car.
No one was injured. The vehicle was also removed from the road's shoulder.
