Police: Man accused of impersonating officer had illegal guns

Police say a King Parks man who is accused of impersonating a police officer had illegal weapons in his home.
Investigators say two plainclothes officers investigated after they smelled marijuana coming from a car outside the Clarion Hotel in Ronkonkoma on Thursday.
They say 43-year-old Justin Conte was inside his silver Hyundai Tucson, wearing a fake police badge and possessing a fake police chief placard.
Police tell News 12 that the suspect had an arsenal of weapons at his Kings Park home as well.
They say four of the weapons were possessed legally and three were not, including a .38-caliber revolver and two AR-15 assault rifles.
Police say they're still looking into the case, and they’re urging anyone with information to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
