Police post reward for info on Winthrop Street stabbing deaths

A week after a double fatal stabbing in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, and police are still searching for information to solve the case.
Police are posting a $10,000 reward in addition to Crime Stoppers' $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the death of Stevenson Bonaparte and his wife Hazel Brown.
On Feb. 7, the couple arrived at their home on Winthrop Street and were ambushed and stabbed multiple times, according to police. Bonaparte was found on the ground in front of the home, while Brown was found inside of the home.
Both were pronounced dead at hospitals.
Reports suggest that there may have been an issue earlier that day between the couple and someone at the religious store they owned in Brownsville.
News 12 is told that it appears nothing came of that report, and police have not identified any suspects.
