New Jersey couple gets married in courthouse bathroom

A New Jersey judge married a couple inside the Monmouth County courthouse bathroom due to a medical emergency.
Brian and Maria Schulz and their mothers were at the courthouse for the ceremony, but Brian’s mother became short of breath, according to a post on the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office's Facebook page. The mother was taken to the women’s room to be given oxygen after calling 911.
Rescheduling the wedding wasn’t an option, so the judge married the couple in the women’s room while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
Brian’s mother was checked out and is doing well.
The couple says that they were touched that the sheriff’s officers and Judge Katie Gummer were willing to help them go forward with their special day.
