(AP) - The snow has delayed a vote on legislation to help New Jersey's nuclear power industry, but disagreement between Democrats is also threatening the bill in the current lame-duck session.

The Democrat-led Senate postponed a vote Thursday on the $300 million bill because of the snowstorm. But Democratic Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto says he has not committed to passing the legislation.

That means he's at odds with Senate President Steve Sweeney, who is pushing the bill.

Officials from the state's biggest utility, PSE&G, say its nuclear plants are in danger of going broke within two years and would shut down. The nuclear plants account for about 40 percent of the state's electricity production.

It's unclear whether the bill will make it GOP Gov. Chris Christie before he leaves office Jan. 16.
