The New Jersey State Police played against the New Jersey State PBA in a charity hockey game Friday evening.
Proceeds from the game in Morristown benefitted two New Jersey charities.
One helps the son of a state police detective who is battling leukemia. The other is Mallory’s Army, a charity that helps parents and children struggling with bullying. It was named for Mallory Grossman, who took her own life this summer after being bullied.
The participants say the event is their way of giving back to the community they serve.
