Forecast: Strong, severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday afternoon

There is a potential Tuesday for strong-to-severe thunderstorms.

Storms are expected to begin between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and could bring gusty wind, urban flash flooding, and lightning to the borough.

Highs will reach near 85 degrees, but feel-like temperatures can exceed 90 degrees prior to the storm’s arrival. 

News 12 meteorologists say once the storm clears out, the air will feel more refreshing, but still noticeably humid with lows near 72 degrees.
