BUTLER -

A woman died and her elderly parents were injured Tuesday night in a house fire in Butler, authorities said.

Officials said the fire was reported just before 11 p.m. at a home on Bartholdi Avenue.

A 61-year-old woman died in the fire, and her parents, ages 87 and 83, were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.
