Eli Manning to start for Giants Sunday after being benched

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will once again lead the team on Sunday after being benched last week, according to interim coach Steven Spagnuolo.
The announcement comes after a turbulent week for the football team that began with the decision to bench Manning in favor of backup quarterback Geno Smith.
The controversial decision was made by former head coach Ben McAdoo. It ended Manning’s streak of starting in over 200 consecutive games.
McAdoo and Giants general manager Jerry Reese were fired Monday, with team co-owner John Mara stating that something had to be done about the team’s 2-10 record this season.
Sunday’s game will be at MetLife Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys.
