OLD BRIDGE -

Authorities in Old Bridge are searching for a man accused of stealing from a grammar school.

Police said the man approached St. Thomas the Apostle Grammar School on Route 18 around 10:30 a.m. Monday. Officials said office employees buzzed the man into the building. He then entered a classroom, where he allegedly stole an envelope that contained miscellaneous, non-personal items, police said.

At no time did he interact with any students, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the man’s whereabouts or the incident itself is asked to contact Old Bridge police Detective Addie Spinola at 732-721-5600, extension 3181.
