Prosecutor: 1 dead, 3 wounded in Jersey City shooting

Posted: Updated:

Hudson County authorities say that a weekend shooting in Jersey City left one man dead and three others wounded.

Police responding to reports of gunfire early Sunday found 28-year-old Rymaire Stevens of Jersey City dead from apparent gunshot wounds to his torso.

Officers then learned two men were driven to Jersey City Medical Center with gunshot wounds. Both are in stable condition. A fourth man sustained a graze wound and refused medical treatment.

The shooting happened around 12:35 a.m. near Martin Luther King Drive and Warner Avenue. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345.

The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
