Monmouth Beach church vandalized for a 3rd time

Vandals have once again struck at a Monmouth County church.
Police were called to the Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach Monday after News 12 New Jersey crews noticed that someone broke off the fingers of a statue outside the church.
A few days ago, someone wrote a message on the church’s front steps with a Sharpie marker, and earlier this year someone broke a window and smeared feces on the property.
"This is a small community. People are coming here as a place of worship and it's extremely disrespectful and it really hurts the feelings of the people of that parish,” says Monmouth Beach Police Chief Thomas Walsh. “It's important for us for everyone to have a safe place to go to.”
Police are reviewing security video from the area. Anyone who might have any information about the incidents is asked to give them a call.
