This week's dogs are up for adoption at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. Their phone number is (516) 785-5220.
Meena is a 3-year-old who was found by the police as a stray. She is really sweet and likes other dogs. Meena would be best in a home with kids 13 years and older.
Prince is a 1-year-old boy who already knows the commands "sit", "come" and "paw". Prince is friendly with people and is recommended for a home with kids 13 and older.
Spider is a 1 1/2-year-old who came to the shelter as a stray at the end of September. He is sweet, social, playful with dogs, knows basic commands and enjoys playing with toys.
