A spooky and apparently realistic Halloween display caused some neighbors to call police out of fear.
Waretown resident Krysten Negrotto says that she and her husband combined their love of surprises and zombies and came up with the story of Zombie Bob. Part of the display features a car crashed into a tree with a dummy hanging onto the hood of the car.
The display seemed so realistic that some neighbors called the police, fearing a real emergency had occurred.
Negrotto says that her Zombie Bob decorations are all part of getting into the Halloween spirit.
"This is the first year I'm able to do this and actually not have anxiety over it so it's a big thing with us and we love it,” she says. “We want the kids to enjoy Halloween like they used to, like when the streets were crowded with kids for trick-or-treating."
The Negrottos recently moved into the neighborhood. They say that despite the display backlash, police told them to keep up the good work.
